We believe that a new high school in Stoke by Nayland is wrong for our community because:
1) Existing secondary schools - especially GCUS - would get less money
2) That means they may not be able to provide as many extra-curricular activities (such as clubs and sports) or as many subjects and exam choices at GCSE
3) We don't need a new secondary school in Stoke by Nayland - there are plenty of spare secondary places in this area already
4) Our existing schools and services need funding but can't get it. But new 'free schools' like the one proposed for Stoke by Nayland can, and that's not fair
5) The Seckford Foundation (which is applying to open a school in Stoke by Nayland) only want to teach a small number of academic subjects - we don't think that gives enough choice for students at GCSE.
