Beeber is a true middle grades school (6-8), one of the few left in the Philadelphia Public School District. School officials are recommending the closure of Beeber and the relocation of 7th and 8th grade students to Overbrook High School! This proposal is not in the best interest of our children and we must show school, local, and state officials that we, the parents and community members, will neither tolerate nor permitt our children to be forced to enter Overbrook High School during their formative early adolescent years of development. Our children need the nurture and support of a small intimate school environment designed to meet their specific needs. That environment is the Beeber Middle School community.
