Ban Bay County School Uniforms

Students in Bay County are expected to follow a mandatory school uniform policy that is unfairly inforced in the schools. Students are expected by some teachers and adminstrators to follow the dress code but not inforced by others. These same teachers and administrators do not follow school uniform policies themselves. Parents are having to go above their means to provide proper dress code that our children are getting harrassed and sent to the office to call home when they could be in class learning. in some cases students are sent home or have to sit in the office until items are brought to them. For example students who forget to wear belts, tuck in shirts, wear cargo jeans or shorts. During winter weather students are expected to wear strickly solid school colors or school approved hoodies and/or jackets that are nearly impossible to find. Students that wear unapproved jackets or hoodies are expected to take them off once inside buildings no matter the temperature.

We are asking for the parents, community, and everyone who believes that we have the right for OUR children to wear school approved street clothes rather than school uniforms that have been inforced to PLEASE sign this PETITION. Lets all stand together and BAN SCHOOL UNIFORMS.
