Over the years St. Mary's Catholic School has overcome multitude of obstacles, and was able to overcome each and every one without jeopardizing the education of students. Why should we allow a stranger, greedy grasping selfish Pastor let our School drop to the ground?
For a little over a year now Father John W. Juszxzaks became the head priest for Holy Cross Catholic Church in Christiansted. Priests by definition and implications are supposed to be kind, pious, compassionate, and HONEST. Well what someone is supposed to be is often times what that person is not-as in the case of Juxzxzaks.
Since his arrival here, he has been using a bully’s mentality in dealing with the teachers and staff at St. Mary’s School.
He fired a number of teachers days before school reopened for the 2011/2012 school year and again now for the 2012/2013 school year. He fired Miss Patton-the school’s secretary and so much more, and he even banned her from stepping foot on the property. Miss Patton and her family have been loyal parishioners and supporters of this organization for many many years. Furthermore, he demoted Miss Payne from the position of assistant principal to a teacher. Miss Payne has been teaching at St. Mary’s for over a decade, and she earned the assistant principal’s position.
Juxzxzaks’ latest evil act was to ask the already underpaid teachers to agree to a pay cut, citing deficit. Deficit seems to be his favorite word. The truth is there is no deficit, and the books reflect that. But he is power hunger and greedy, and he enjoys materialistic luxuries and long vacations. On the first day here, he threatened staff by telling them he can get people to do their jobs for half the salary they are getting. These people have been working for this organization for over 15 years.
In 2011, Mr. Donaie, who earned the supervisory maintenance position here, got injured on the job. He went to workman compensation, and they said the government did not have money, and it would take a while before he got help. Juxzxzaks stopped paying Mr. Donaie that very week he got injured, and turned his back on Mr. Donaie. He never once asked him how he was doing or how his family was managing. Fortunately, the staff and parishioners did not turn their backs on Mr. Donaie. Yesterday, after over 16 years of service, September 5th, he fired Mr. Donaie. He also fired Mrs. Schwan, who works in the cafeteria. Now Mrs. Schwan has seniority over the other cafeteria staff, but he fired her because he had to pay her insurance as opposed to the other staff in the cafeteria. Mrs. Schwan’s husband, the late Leonard Schwan helped to make that school what it is, and this is how they give thanks to him. Is this the trait of a religious organization?
Juxzxzaks, in every sermon that he delivers, lies to the people. He uses evil trickery and tells them the school is in deficit, and the people care, so they put a little extra in the collection plate. Then he announces that that particular collection would go to the church and the NEXT collection would go to the school.
Father Patrick Lynch, in his wisdom, bought a school bus that is safe for the children to go on field trips etcetera with. It a big blue bus that you may have seen on the roads. During Father Gaddy’s reign, he spent thousands of dollars to repair the bus with new parts. Juxzxzaks sold the bus for 1300.00 all because he does not want to pay 600.00 to get it licensed and insured. The school and church is falling apart because he does not want to buy any supplies to repair and fix anything. He goes for the cheap fix and in the long round spends MORE money because the same thing has to be fixed more than once. He does not take into consideration anyone’s perspective other than his own. No one can talk to him because he is never in a listening mode. He does not put the children’s education or safety first. He fired the art teacher since 2011, and cut a number of programs.
In the rectory, he ordered the air conditioned unit not to be turned on. The staff member got heat stroke and had to go home. He cut the hours of Mrs. Larsen, and she was FORCED to quit because of his doggish ways.
I ask you, people of St. Croix, why do we stand back and let a stranger, who knows NOTHING about our values, our customs, our cultures, and our traditions, come in our home and destroy what people have worked so long and so hard to establish and earn? Please help the students and staff in the landmark organization. Please do not stand back and let this happen.
We need a priest who puts the children, teachers, parishioners, and staff first. We need a priest who is kind and compassionate. We need a priest who will work hard and take pride in this organization, and who will build upon what so many others worked hard to establish. We need a priest who is honest. We need a priest who is not evil. We need a priest who is not egocentric and who does not look into every mirror he comes across.
Reliable sources made it known that there is no deficit, and Father Gaddy reassured the people that he left enough money to complete all the projects he started at St. Mary’s, which include the completion of fire escape stairs and a generator room. Under previous priests, there has always been progressive work going on in this organization. Now nothing is being done while everything is falling apart. It is indeed a difficult economic time, and even if there is a deficit, the people of this community have found ways to keep this place afloat.
Today, Wednesday September 5 2012, will be a day to remember. The WOLF has shown is true colors.

Mr. Fazal gave 19 years off his life to this institution, for Him to be dismiss without a valid reason is disgusting and repulsive. FATHER JOHN W. JUSZCZAKS wish is to have the School run by volunteers, so he could pocket the money and take longer vacations like the one he took over the summer. My question is, tomorrow will he also dismiss the teachers and have volunteers teach our children? It can happen, and it will, since the teachers did not pledge to give up (or give back) a percentage of their salary, now he could be implacable and vengeful with them. THIS SO CALLED MAN OF GOD IS SPITEFUL, MALICIOUS AND RUTHLESS.
