New England Conservatory's Construction Crisis

We need to start a dialogue between students and administration about a temporary solution to the severe practice room deficit, and the disruption that will be caused by the upcoming construction projects.

Practice space deficit is an urget issue already, but with the delayed construction making matters worse, the problem will become desperate in the fall semester.

Students have been cut-off from their summer practice space which they were charged for, without warning. It now appears that this disruption of practice space will continue throughout the semester.

The administration and building operations has made NO effort to communicate this information to the students, to the point that it feels like obfuscation. There were many standard modes of communication that were neglected such as emails, letters to homes, announcements through Facebook and Twitter, all which were bereft of any information.

Please sign this to tell President Woodcock and the NEC administration to build a more open dialogue with the NEC community regarding this and other issues, and to immediately begin finding solutions to the practice room crisis.
