When Adrian Botello was replaced as our mail carrier the manner in which our mail was delivered was changed in a negative manner.
- Certified mail notices were simply left in the box with no attempt of delivering the letters
- Packages are crammed into the mailbox, shoving further the mail into the back of the mailbox.
- When there are multiple packages that do not fit into the mailbox rather than walking them to the door the mail carrier holds onto them to deliver the next day.
- Only if there are packages bigger than the mailbox will they be brought to the door and then the doorbell is not rung to at least notify us of a delivery.
- Magazines have arrived with the plastic seal they are mailed in open. Mail carrier has been seen sitting in his truck flipping through magazines.
- One mother of 8 had her van parked in front of the mailbox while she was quickly bringing in her groceries through the front door. Instead of simply handing her mail to her the mail carrier skipped her delivery entirely.
- Packages being delivered after the mail has already been dropped off. One instance a cell phone was left sitting in the mailbox for the weekend. The mail carrier returned to deliver the package after the mail had been brought in. The package ought to have been brought to the door when the carrier saw that his first delivery had been retrieved.
- He is known to sit in his truck talking on his cell phone via an ear piece. One day he was blocking the mailbox when the mail was getting picked up. Only when he noticed that the homeowner was picking up her mail did he casually give her a package that was not going to fit into the mailbox - while he was talking on his cell phone.
All confidence is lost in our current carrier. Not only can he not make his deliveries in the manner in which is expected - leaving his truck - he does not do it in a manner in which he feel our mail is being delivered securely. We understand that not everyone is an Adrian Botello, but our current carrier does not have minimal standards to perform his job.
