The undersigned Flex MBA students are not happy with the unexpected announcement re: our academic schedules (i.e. eight-week classes rather than 16-week classes). The current structure of alternating classes allows more time for thought and analysis, and results in higher-quality projects and cases. Additionally, it enables students to simultaneously employ concepts from one class in another. Many of us chose this program for its structure. We are not here to earn the three letters "MBA" after our names. We are here to maximize our learning and become industry leaders.
We believe that this change was declared solely for the convenience of the administration and professors. The previous email stated that changes would not be implemented with this cohort, and it's very disheartening to see our collective wishes ignored. Please keep the class calendar the same. If future cohorts wish to change this, that is up to them and the administration. We do not want this change to take effect. Please respect our wishes and remember that we are your customers.
