Ethics v For Profit Schools

There have been laws passed in order to rien in thier misreprentations of financial aid and the program(s).That is great, but it does not even begin to cover Kaplans sins. What about the people who had thier credit ruined, and now they are lookng at paying for financial aid they can not be able to make a dent in. Most was due to the recruiters misrepresentations and taking advantage of the less fortunate whose only crime was looking for a better life. What needed to be done was Kaplan coming out in front of the mess they created and offer these people some ind of compensation.

"In modern society eithics define how individuals, professionals and corporations choose to interact with each other." I leave you with one question to think about serioulsly. Did Kaplan or the Washington Post approach their problems in an ethical manner ? " Laws can be netutial or ethical issues or they can be used to endorse ethics." Civil Right Laws can be used to promot ethical as well as a legal comittment.

Through much reading on Kaplan they used what could be defined as business ethics in order to explain thier handling of the financial aid. There is a very close line between laws and (legal ethics). There are many issues the line between eithics and the law are very thin and open to further research and explaination.

What Kaplan did do was to misrepresent programs to students, financial aid to target the less fortunate students such as:unmarried mothers, the diabled, people on public aid, these were the students they felt would quit schools within months. The list of Kaplans wrongs are a  long one. Where is that line crossed?
