Fog lights are supposed to be available for shining under low-hanging fog, so drivers can see the road under the fog. I believe they all have switches in the cab to turn them on and off. Many people don't seem to know they have an extra set of lights blaring into oncoming traffic. This creates a dangerous blindness in oncoming drivers.
I drive a compact car. When people leave their fog lights on, especially on pick up trucks, they seem to come right in my windshield, blinding me as badly as high beams.
Correctly adjusted low beams do not cause problems for oncoming drivers.
Do you really want to blind people driving toward you?
Commit to using fog lights sensibly. Only use them in driving conditions where they contribute to safer driving, not the rest of the time, when they contribute to more dangerous driving.
Thank you for signing! (I am planting trees with my butterflies.)
