Proposed revisions to the Exceutive Compensation Plan would raise the highest salaries at CUNY by over 22%. The Chancellor's maximum salary would rise by 54% to $724,470. This is a shameful use of resources, especially when tuition is being raised $1,500/semester for students, departments remain on a hiring freeze, and faculty and staff continue to work without a contract. In the spirit of shared sacrifice, executive salaries must be held in check.
