Villa Rica Church of Christ in Carroll County, Georgia doesn't want public school students learning real science. Their attack on the theory of evolution comes right when educators across the country are looking hard at science curriculums, according to a news report in Wsbtv.com.
Church Member Bob Staples has written to the state science committee accusing evolution of underming morals and blaming scientific instruction for crime, divorce, and child abuse, according to Wsbtv.com. He indicates that evolution teaches nothing more than that humans are furless apes--a gross oversimplification of a complex scientific theory. Staples is calling for evolution to be taken out of public schools altogether. Tell Villa Rica Church of Christ to stay out of public education and cease its attacks on sound science!
