Below is a synopsis of a proposal I presented to Governor Rick Scott of Florida. It would change the outrageous cost of a college education. I never heard anything not even a thank you for my submission. But do you know why? Government wants a dumb working class society to follow whatever regulations that are put in place. Then you have the kickbacks from the money lenders dishing out student loans that people just can't afford.
Let's change the college education experience making it attainable for those students that want to take advantage. Read the proposal below and sign the petition to let government know we the people are taking control of how a college education is conducted.
Florida needs to initiate a pilot program for education to extend across America. The purpose of the program would make a basic college education attainable for every public high school senior. The prerequisite to take advantage of this initiative would require a passing grade of at least a "C" in a students senior year and roughly 144 hours of community service . At the time of graduation each student completing the hours of community service would receive a laptop or a laptop voucher. Each student would be given access to login into a community or state college to complete a 4 year degree. The 2 logical degree programs would be in business and teaching. The classes would be given via video over the internet. A syllabus providing the material to be covered, materials needed to complete the course, and a required test would be included. A final exam would be mandatory under the auspices of a proctor to acquire full credit for the year.
Yale and Cornell University already have non accredited courses free of charge to anyone over the internet. This would create a more intelligent society relatively for a small cost for the books and materials. Those that can't afford internet service have access to the public library and other public places that provide free WIFI hotspots.
The community service work would not only benefit the community but the students giving them self satisfaction of helping others less fortunate. This is a win win proposition that would take advantage of the available technology for the benefit of America.
