Do you love Mossman Elementary? We do, too.
What's going on?
As you may know, Clear Creek Independent School District (CCISD) has formed a committee to develop recommendations for re-drawing the school attendance zone boundaries. These boundaries indicate where our children go to school, and the elementary boundaries are being examined closely for change.
There will be a vote!
Currently, the entire Lakes of South Shore is designated for Mossman Elementary, but this is subject to change, and our elected officials on the CCISD Board of Trustees will make this decision in January 2012.
I'm "safe!" Right?
While an official proposal or recommendation by this committee hasn't yet been presented publicly, dividing the Lakes appears to be a likely option to be presented. In this option, some areas may be called, "safe zones," however, due to how the process works, there aren't any "safe" sections at this point in the process. Discussions are ongoing, and a final vote has not been cast by the CCISD Board of Trustees. This vote will also take into account input from public hearings in January 2012, thus any current proposal can still change. If you have been told you are "safe," there is no guarantee it will remain that way.
