Tell the U.S. Department of Education to enforce policies preventing elementary-aged children from being arrested and thrown in jail for normal misbehavior in school!
All over the United States, children as young as 5-years-old are being handcuffed and arrested! Educators have a tough job, but they also have the training to handle classroom behavior. It is outrageous to call in the police when very young children throw a temper tantrum!
ALL children misbehave; it is a normal part of growing up. They do not have the mental capability to control their actions at all times, so to traumatize a young child for what amounts to normal behavior issues is downright abusive to children. Make them call the parents instead!
