Taos Academy's Education Gross Receipts Tax

Taos Academy Charter School formally requests that the County Commission include TACS in a joint resolution for the new Education Gross Receipts Tax allocation of approximately $3,000,000.00. Taos Academy, designated by the New Mexico Public Education Department as an independent local school district, meets all requirements to participate in such funding generated by the residents of Taos County and their children, many of whom attend Taos Academy.

The Taos Academy Governing Council seeks support from all Taos Academy stakeholders for this request to the County Commission. By signing this petition, you are supporting Taos Academy’s resolution to participate in the allocation of the Education Gross Receipts Tax. Taos Academy intends to use the extra funds for improvements to our publically owned facility such as covers for walkways, roof repairs, additional insulation, and carpet replacement.
