Family, Friends, and (lets face it) strangers-
After reading the article on CNN, The Huffington Post, and many more media outlets, I knew I had to help out this little girl in checking off something on her bucket list.
For those of you who don't know, here's some info you should know about Avery.
Avery is 5 months old and lives in Bellaire, Texas with her two very loving parents. Recently, she lost the ability to move her legs, which was a result of her recent diagnosis of Spinal Muscular Atrophy. She now has (at most) 18 months to live.
So thats when I went to her website (http://averycan.blogspot.com), found her list, and one in particular stood out to me the most: Graduate college and walk across the stage and recieve my honorary diploma. Having just graduated college 6 months ago and it being one of the proudest moments of my life, I knew I wanted to make sure Avery experienced this monumental event in someone's life.
So I did some research of where Avery and her parents live and found the closest college around them: Houston Community College.
Their graduation is a week from this Saturday- May 12th at 10 AM, which is not a lot of time to make this happen.
HERE'S WHAT I NEED FROM YOU:
Sign this petition. I am going to forward this petition a week from today (May 1st) to the Graduation committee and show them how important it would not only mean to Avery and her parents, but to the thousands (hopefully) of people who signed this petition.
Just sign your name. Thats all you have to do.
