No Official Diploma= No Graduation Ceremony

It is not fair that high school students earn a diploma after 12 years of hard work in school and then GED students can earn the "same" diploma after a few courses or tests, yet we still get the same graduation ceremony. A GED proves that you can pass high school academic work after failing the first try (in high school). A diploma proves that you can pass not only academic work, but you never gave up and pushed until you succeeded. A ceremony should not be necessary for GED students because they left high school for a reason; they should not gain the same respect as a high school graduate. They should be able to have a diploma, but they should not be able to participate in a graduation ceremony; a ceremony that is sacred to those who worked so hard to get there.
