The graduate clinicians in the Speech Language Pathology Department are required to use only the computers provided in the Special Services building. To take, produce or access any documents outside of these computers would be considered violations of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA). The Special Services building does not have an adequate number of computers for all of the graduate clinicians to effectively and efficiently produce and edit all of the documents needed for clinic. The graduate clinicians need additional computers in the Special Services to create documents used in the Speech and Hearing Clinic on the Northeastern State University Tahlequah Campus.
