School's give to much homework. Your probably thinking that it's just because I don't like to do it but that is not ture. School's basicly give "busy work" which is poroblems that take a long time but have no point in it. I think that if you know the procedure and all the steps that's what matters. If you know the steps than it does not matter if you get the answer right or wrong, yet teachers grade in what's right and wrong not if you get the procedure. Which I think should count fopr some of your grade. But teachers and school's inforce how you should get good grades, but do not really inforce how important the steps are to that problem. And you just want good grades therefore the steps don't matter, if you do it on a calculator then it's fine uf you get the right answer. But that should not be why your using a calculator.
Teachers put so much stress on your grade you get on your paper, NOT on how you know it. sure they teach you how to and go over it but do they really care if you know the steps if only the grades reflect on them, not how you know? I believe it should be turned upsidedown. Have the importance of the procedure first and the grades you get second. What do you believe?
