Help Us Keep The Brightwood Family Together

The administration at Brightwood Education Campus has not been reappointed for the next school year. We realize and understand the urgency at DCPS to see improvement in its schools, but we feel that DCPS is abruptly halting a very positive school model before it has the opportunity to come to fruition. We at Brightwood believe that this unforeseen change will cause more harm than good to our children.  Our students have become very accustomed to the school community, and its policies and procedures.  Rigorous instruction has become and continues to be the norm under our current leadership.  Additionally, there is an extremely close rapport between leadership, faculty, and students, and our children need that stability and continuity for their academic success and well-being. 

We, the Brightwood community members, parents, teachers, and students, support the reinstatement of Principal Wanda Fox and Assistant Principal Fredrick Burton at Brightwood Education Campus.
