As a parent of a child in the Philadelphia School District, I feel it is our rights to our children to make a difference. How do we make the difference, by signing this petition to let Mr. Hite know we are not going to take the actions he has stated against our children. Yes it is against our children since there will not be any lunch or schoolyard monitors, which means our children will be bullied more and when going outside for recess will have the freedom to just walk out of the schoolyard. There wont be any secretaries in the office, which means if you need to pick up your child early you wont be able to. There wont be a school nurse, which means if your child has any problems such as epilepsy,diabetes or asthma noone will be able to help that child. No school counselors, again leads to more bullying. This is an issue we are facing for the next school year and probably years thereafter. Our children love these men and women, afterall school IS their second home. We cannot lose these men and women, we have to protect our children as well as these people who are losing their jobs. Please it takes just a moment to sign your name, please do this if you have a school age child, and if you dont have any children think about THEIR future when you do!
