Here are the reasons for this petition:
1. We the Licensed Practical Nurses licensed in British Columbia want to have a voice through a professional advocacy body, which is LPNABC; that will protect my professional practice.
2. We the LPNs of BC want to have a continuing education fund that is available to enhance my practice through a process of application based on needs as per the LPNABC Bylaws.
3. We the LPNs of BC want to have our liability insurance and legal representative through a neutral body that is not also supporting the accuser against my practice.
4. We the LPNs of BC want the College of LPNs in BC to agree and transfer the equal amounts to LPNABC from my registration fee that would support the LPNs full professional association as per Resolution #1(2013).
We petition the College of Licensed Practical Nurses as follows:
1. To agree to Resolution #1 (2013) that has been submitted to the board and presented at the CLPNBC AGM upon acceptance.
2. To agree to support the transition of all LPNs in BC to be represented by LPNABC as equal to other professional associations such as ARNBC and College of Dentists and Denturist.
