PROBLEM:
- In order to teach people and position them to be licensed as a Natural Hair Culturist in the State of Michigan (Board of Cosmetology), the program must be taught under the umbrella and facility of a cosmetology school who teaches the opposite approach to natural hair care and uses the very chemicals natural hair practitioners/customers choose not to be around.
- The State of Michigan has a license (tho not mandatory, it's a choice nontheless) for the Natural Hair Culturist and no establishment for a person, if they choose, to get the required training to be licensed. Allowing natural hair schools to open within the 'specialty schools' category will make this education available and affordable to the market it serves.
SOLUTION: The solution is to create a license in the Specialty School category for Natural Hair Culturist classes, still honoring the hours currently required by the State of Michigan Board of Cosmetology. This license is voluntary, not mandatory.
