The suffering of the young by "Education"??

You must remember how many of your classmates did not survive so called education. Look at the problems with the young in modern society. Many are ravaged by drugs or other suffering and these are discarded. There are most deaths of the young by suicide. Look at the definitioin  of education in the Oxford Dictionary. Aristotle and other sages maintained that the primary duty of the teacher was to develop the moral fibre in the young. that knowledge quickly fades and omly character remains and can be further grown over life. They also stressed that the good life needed the practice of the excellent qualities of virtue. This is NOT a religious issue but a human one. All humans as the head of the animal chain have innate qualities or hinge (cardinal) virtues these being prudence (commonsense), justice(a fair go), fortutude ( courage) and temperance (can draw the line).  We need to protect those who cannot survive schooling. There needs to be a concerted effort to estalish a moral development unit at every school to assist those who rebel to avoid school and are suspended and exiled as failures. The smart or athletic are praised but others are tolerated. All adults have forgotten over 90% of what they ever learned. Assessment is now undertaken sensibly at TAFE and Universities with a minimum  of memorised, regurgitated and then forgotten material. Let us strive to have proper assessment with alternative assessment to secure a rather useless piece of paper called a degree or diploma with then forgotten knowledge as degrees and diplomas are easily attained. Let us urge the need for a moral development unit in every school with excellent staff and inspire the threatened with nobility. Society has deteriorated markedly over my decades. I am in my seventh decade in the knowledge game. I have gotten this off my ches and it will probably come to nought! Seek the moral developmenrt of the young. They can then educate their parents!!  Are you morally developed. Do you know and use the happy golden rule? Do you recognise 'noblesse oblige'?. Do I for that matter!!!
