Traditional Schedule will not and can not work for the student body at Huntington Beach High School. Students that are in APA or Sports will not be able to work properly or to their full potential. Example; Take a look at any other school in the surrounding area that has Traditional Schedules, they have a lower API average than we do with block schedule. Block has proven time and time again to be the best solution to students that want to be involved and become the best well rounded person they can become. Also moving Tutorial after the first two periods isn't the answer, because students that are struggling in 1st and 2nd period can't get the help they need. The students here at HBHS have proven to be golden exemplary people through the academic, sport and performance world. In addition, think about all the AP students. How would you like it if you were responsible for multiple AP classes and you had multiple homework assignments due the next day. We come here for multiple reasons, one of those reasons are because of the appeal of a block schedule.
