Do you like wonderful flowers and gardens? Do you like to look back at our school and look proud at how beatiful it looks? Well I bet you would like a garden then. The garden can be as creative as we want since this is a school effort. The gardens can vary from flowers, to trees, to herbs, to vegetable,to fruits and any other plant that hasnt crossed my mind. we can make our school a greener and healthier place to be in. The kids will have healthier smiles then ever. Healthier food will increase their brain levels. Flowers and trees will give them pride to have such a green school. A school wont be green just with a forest behind it. We are from MONROE. We can do better than that!
Growing a garden at school will enable students to become aware of the benefits of growing plants and their importance in our environment. Students will be able to cultivate the soil and learn more about the impotant properties of soil and the life that thrives with in it.The herbs that
can be grown will be great for the students to experience. Learning to be responsible in caring for a garden will be an asset for student growth and it will provide for comradery amonst students in our grade.
The herbs can also help in school lunches since the herbs will be fresh. This will be good for the students as well as the teachers who choose to buy lunch. The diets will be more effiecient. The herbs can be used for science experiments when we go over cells. there may be other experments invovling plants. For example, u can use food coloring and the roots to make a experiment on how the water is being absorbed.
We can also have trees in our garden.We can have a small tradition where for every 10 good kindness done a tree is planted. This will increase the students to be kinder to each other and igknoledge each other. As studunts of MTMS we can definetely be creative with flowers. For example, we can have a set of small flower gardens. Each with a team maskot on it. This can be done with many different colors of flowers and also be one of the chalenges for the games going on in school. We can have people bring in money and choose a type of color for their maskot and at the end we can have people come together in each team and take all the flowers and plant them in the ground to make their team maskot. This will not only be a great decoration and a great way to represent each team,but also fun for the artistic kids who like to garden. I know that with some work and alot of determination we can make this old high school into a new looking middle school. I am hoping u will surely agree with my dreams for this school and if u do please do as much as you can to help this idea become reality.
