In the year 1939, Sir Nicholas Winton saved 669 mainly Jewish children mostly from Nazi occupied area of former Czechoslovakia.
He never told anyone about this courageous act,not even to his wife,who accidently found in the attic of their house a list with the children that were saved together with their photos and the families were they were sent in England.In this way the story was revealed.
We believe that Sir Nicholas Winton should be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for this deed. By this act, he contributed to the idea of “the fraternity of nations” as spirited in Alfred Nobel´s final testament.
