Penn State Harrisburg (Capital College) recognizes over a dozen areas of study in which students may compliment his or her major with a minor degree. Sadly, Philosophy has been overlooked in both its academic and cultural value and is NOT offered as a minor on this particular campus. As students and the future workforce of our great state and country, we insist on being afforded the opportunity to pursue studies of academic integrity and interest. We the petitioners understand the difficulties and challenges of satisfying all students’ needs and concerns, however, we demand progress. By signing this petition, we submit our sincere belief that we deserve the opportunities and recognition given to University Park students by having a Minor in Philosophy included on our campus.
