Bullying leaves indelible scars on the bullied kids' minds, and sometimes their bodies, well into adulthood. A lot of the time, the bullies don't even realise how hurtful they're being.
If your kids are old enough to understand, whether they're the bullied, the bullies or on the sidelines, get them to watch 'To This Day' by Sean Koyczan - a 7-and-a-half minute spoken poem with visuals to go along with it. Educate them about the effects of bullying - or, if they already know firsthand, the video will reassure them that they're not the only one, and it ends with a message of hope.

I'm now in my late twenties and YouTube didn't exist when I was a bullied child. I wish I'd had the chance to see this, but I didn't until someone linked me to it today. I'm not affiliated with the To This Day Project in any way, but I hope that sharing it will raise awareness and help kids who are in the same position now that I was years ago.
