The Diaoyu Islands – full name Diao Yu Tai Archipelago éé±¼å°ç¾¤å²) – are referred to as the Senkaku Islands (å°éåå²/å°é£è«¸å³¶) by Japan; they consist of Diaoyu Island, Huangwei Island, Chiwei Island, Nanxiao Island, Beixiao Island, Dananxiao Island, Dabeixiao Island and Feilai Island, and cover an area of about 7 km2.
