The President of the University and the Board of Regents has talked about wanting to improve UNLV's reputation in the eyes of college and high school students around this nation. But we can't do that without caring for our students first. That's why they should make the Lied Library open 24 hours a day. It doesn't even have to be all the floors; maybe the first two floors. I know it will cost money to get this to happen; it's a time of budget cuts. But if a University has enough money to create a brand new practice facility for the Men's basketball team, and for "earthquake renovations" to the gymnasium, then it certainly has enough money for what matters; Academics! This action will ensure that the Board, the University, and the President are serious when they say that they want to make this a world class state institution. Join me in the movement.
