Dear Friend,
As you all that Navodaya Staff have gone for indefinite strike for demanding pension benefits in accordance with the Central Civil Service pension scheme, 1972, that is being enjoyed by its sister organisations like the Kendriya Vidyalayas, the Central Tibetan School Administration and (NCERT) .
27 years have passed after setting up this vibrant institutions for the poor, the institute is lacking importance and platform. The demand for implementation of CCS (Pension) 1972 is the need of the hour. 10% residential allowance to non teaching is to bring about equality which is a fundamental right. Implementation of MACPS for teaching staff due to lack of promotional avenues is a must. A Principal joining the Vidyalaya is retiring as a Principal itself after serving 19 years with neither promotion nor monetary benefits.
t is sad that staff of NVS denied the benefits on par with KVS employees though all the rules and regulations syllabus are on par with kvs and other centrally funded schools. the working conditions of NVS staff are more pathetic with no define working hours on the par-text of residential schools. Most of the schools are in remote place. employees children are denied best education for their wards though they work and strive hard for the rural nvs children who join in nvs schools. the staff deserve all kinds and benefits at least on par with KVS..
I am an Alumni of Navodaya and requesting all the alumni of Navodaya to stand behind our beloved teachers for their Genuine Demand.
