BU students are scheduled to sit through several hours of lecture each day, leaving them less time to study on their own. Though our lectures are currently recorded so that we can review the presented material again on our own time, it is not feasible to increase the playback speed of the videos. One of our primary concerns is time-management and maximizing the efficiency of our studying. Put simply, we NEED to be able to watch recorded lecture content at faster speeds!
We have no interest in downloading lecture content and infringing upon copyright laws. We simply request that lectures be recorded and provided to us using software that allows us to speed up the playback of streaming content. The Echo360 Player currently being utilized does not provide for this functionality and for this reason, we want BU to find a different software provider immediately.
