Demand Same Background Checks On Parent Volunteers As Required By Teachers.

   Did you know that our children's schools only require a limited background check on parent volunteers?  These volunteers are coaching, chaperoning and a valueable part of parties and other school activities.  Although most of these parents are upstanding people, some have very extensive criminal histories and because of current volunteer procedures are allowed open access to our children.  
  By signing this petition we are demanding that every person participating in school activities that have direct contact with our children have the same extensive background check as teachers.  We can not passively stand by and allow people with assaults, drug charges, child neglect etc. charges have access to our children.  The current guidelines are not acceptable!  
  This is a very serious issue and we need to take a stand! If our school systems are not going to protect our chilldren we need to make them do what is right.  Our childrens safety is at stake. TAKE ACTION NOW! Our children are our future lets make sure they are in safe hands!
