The reason for mass killings - children killing children - is not because guns are available. Its due to lack of support for trouble children, lack of moral compass with young people - a sense of right and wrong- that has pushed our young people to a sense of hopelessness - and revenge against society. Although there are more children in school with a religious connection than not; this petition will take into consideration all children. It will define a way for all children-of every walk in life- to spend a few moments each day, on how to support one another, how to deal will bullying, and develop social skills emphasizing the importance of acceptance regardless of your station in life. As American citizens, and parents we cannot simply shake our heads in disbelief and grief - afraid to go to the movies, or to send our kids to school. We must do something. I propose we allow 15 minutes 3 days a week to prayer or social discussion. We would solicit support from the clergy of all religious sectors, and and professionals to lead discussions dealing with teen issues.
