The purpose of this petition is to keep Senior Seminar in parkway schools because it prepares student to be ready for what's to come after high school. Whether it's the simple things like washing clothes, or something more difficult such as filing your taxes. The class is being taken away because the board feels it is not "rigorous" enough for students. They feel like students are not learning anything, and that the students are only taking the class as a "blow off" class. Well some students take classes because they feel it will be easy, but in the end all students end up learning something. So Senior Seminar will do everything to prepare you for after high school, and that's why it should not be taken away from the students.
