Employment opportunities galore have migrated from the Maywood community area going back almost 40 years or so and local institutions such as the Maywood Park District, the building on 5th and Oak street that once housed the Maywood Boys and Girls Club and the Maywood Public Library are lagging way too far behind in stepping up into 21st century technology on a day to day level. This purposeful ignoring and resisting , utilizing cutting-edge technology and 1st rate social networking tools and resources in real-time innovative ways that would and could energize or provide local Maywood residents with world class, highly useful, usable information, delivered in dynamic ways from dynamic transformation people. These institutions are providing just enough for traditional thinking, but are now in a digitally oriented society and our community deserves the best information in the world on a daily basis. These people must learn to be faciltators and not bosses!
We can reach transformative, cutting-edge people today! Why aren't we doing so, in the best ways for our community? There are many remarkable, earth friendly people who are bringing forth, brilliant earth friendly, game changing sustainable projects / programs that are transforming local towns and villages around the world.
Our local institutions are not reaching out to them, because their actions remain, year after year transfixed on maintaining political, administrative or job power specifically for their inner circles, which are a relatively few selfish, greedy, non-productive hangers on. At the expense of not only bewildered youth walking up and down 5th avenue or Madison avenue, but also local adults in families whom sorely require new dynamic technology oriented training course, classes, workshops, in the neighborhood walking distance, etc.
On January 8, intelligent, serious minded Maywoodians ought to attend the Park District board meeting at 6:30 p.m. to reinforce this long over due petition. Including politicians , clergy, business owners and residents. Or Maywood can choose to continue to allow selfish, I want to show you how I can outsmart you minded people, arrogant, unfriendly people to ride rough shod over your basic rights and privileges.
Years ago we were outraged when other people stood in the doorway of a major college to block our people from entering that school for an eduaction, yet Maywoodians stand by without challenging the same type of blockage. These selfish bureaucrats are badly hurting / blocking the remarkable possibilities, cutting-edge opportunities that come to people all over the world thru their communities prioritized focus on diverse technological training, learning , research and application, that should be taking place in dynamic active ways in these institutions daily.
