Save Christmas and New Year at MSRIT

Before anything, let us make it crystal clear what this petition is NOT about. It is NOT about asking for the exams to be advanced or postponed so we can make false promises about raising the level of our performances in the examination. It is NOT about asking for more holidays. This is simply a plea to change the scheduling of our odd semester's Semester End Examinations.
This was the fourth year running that my siblings have come home from another city and I have had to study for my final exams. In fact, I have missed several vacations because of the scheduling of exams. I'm sure that I am not the only one. There are several people I know first hand that have had the little time they get to spend with their family ruined, simply because of the way our exams are scheduled in the winter.
All we are asking for is to have a little leeway. We are just pleading for our examinations to be done before christmas, from December 2013 onwards. It is already too late for 2012. Many of us, including the person writing this petition would have graduated by December 2013, but just knowing that we helped change the typical time table for our odd semester examinations would be enough for us. Please do us this one favor, this one parting gift.
