Hamond Oliver High School for Human Sciences is a school that was founded to help educate high school kids in the medical field. The site where Hammond Oliver is presently located was a former Hospital that had some well recognized doctors of the Brazos Valley. When this school was developed it was the perfect place for this type of atmosphere. The students actually get to walk down the halls and work in some of the rooms that majority of the topics of study formally took place. Over the years in this school the students had the opportunity to aquire internships at various doctors offices and as well as the hospital. Within walking distance it provided those who did not have access to a vehicle to aquire a internship at St. Josephs Regional Hospital. The atmosphere this school has being that it is a seperate campus from the original high schools gives those who are actually wanting a medical field career the opportunity to focus solely on that. The campus is almost structured with a medical school critique. I hope that with this and some help of former and present students as well as the general public we can keep this school from moving and to have another 20 years.
