The reason for signing this petition is multi-facted. First, words have "meaning" and the word "control" frightens gun owners. Secondly, using "safety" versus "control" shows respect fot the people who are "responsible" gun owners. Thirdly, it's a step in the right direction to gain the cooperation of the Congress and Senate to stop "talking" and take "action" to provide a safe environment for our children and our society as a whole. It's meaningful "change."
