From 1996 to 2012 there have been estimated 263 students killed, 54 teachers killed and 232 wounded in our schools. Not to mention the mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary in Newtown, Connecticut on December 14 took the lives of at least 26 people, most of whom were children between the ages of five and ten years old. This would not have happend if our schools were protected properly. I dedicate this mission to the victims and the families of the Sandy Hook Massacre. We are asking congress to pass a law that further secures our schools. We are asking that every school is required by law to have two metal detectors for students, staff and visitors subject to go through. We are asking for two luggage x-ray machines for any type of baggage wanting entry into the school. We also ask for more Perimeter and Interior security guards or school police while school is in session and during any school activities for safety and unwanted violence. We want student and staff vehicles searched if there is suspicion. We are the future of the nation. Stop The killing through prevention and pass this law. We propose this become funded through government funding.
