The 37 pupils who failed to sit for their final exams are being punished for the crimes of others. Denying them a chance for retest is more of violating their children human rights. They have a right to this opportunity and it is high time the policy makers realized that the assesment guidelines should first protect the those they seek to serve--students. The excuses given by Knec are in every respect illustrating their desire to enforce their powerful positions over the rights of those they serve. It is indeed the Knec's failure to have the policies in place that these pupils' future dreams/lives are at stake. How can they administer new test in case of irregularities yet they want to punish these 37? giving them a chance has nothing to do with setting a precedence for such cases. These are kids and should not be used as 'example' or a lesson for the rest.

While the rest of the candidates are looking forward to getting their results after Christmas, these innocent 37 will be crying for the lost chance. They have a right to education, Let us help them fight for it.
