Tuition for public colleges in Wisconsin has risen drastically over the past few years and is becoming harder and harder to pay for. This rise in tuition costs not only makes more student loans, but reduces the number of students who can attend college regardless of their academic ability to do so. If the cost of tuition continues to rise, public higher education will be available only to those able to pay the cost resulting in a less educated society,
The voice of the people has always been what is able to change society and the future. We are the people and the government needs to hear what we have to say. We can no longer sit idly by and hope that the prices will go down by themselves. Now is the time to stand up and voice the need for lower tuition costs, so everyone can have the opportunity to attend college if they want to regardless of their income.
