Coach Jerry Moore recently retired as the winningest coach in Appalachian State and Southern Conference history. He won an unprecedented 3 straight Div-I FCS National Championships and 10 Conference Championships. Additionally, he won numerous "Coach of the Year" awards and brought nationwide attention to Appalachian State with a win over Michigan.
We proudly urge Chancellor Peacock and Appalachian State's Board of Trustees to consider honoring this legendary coach. We recommend changing the name of Kidd Brewer Stadium to "Jerry Moore Stadium" or something similar. If the naming rights to the stadium are not available, please consider renaming the field, or other prominent road/building in honor of Jerry Moore.
