Nova is a great college and needs to expand their undergrad population. By the year 2015 over 1 million veterans will be returning back from active duty and from serving our country. Veterans need to see that Nova is vet friendly and has much to offer it’s students, not to mention it’s in beautiful south Florida.
The truth of the matter is, Nova is a much better school than others. Nova deals with the VA on time so that veterans get paid on time. It takes some schools up to five months to get their veterans certified and get them paid from the VA, which makes financial planing a nightmare for veterans returning as they are no longer receiving their regular pay.
Veteran Resource Centers are a great asset to any college. Speaking from personal experience, it is nice to have a space on campus where you can go talk to other vets, something about that is just therapeutic and resourceful. Having a VRC will allow vets to receive inside information on VA issues and assistance from a reputable veteran counselor.
