I am currently enrolled in Colorado Technical online university and have just been informed that again they are raising their tuition this is the second one I have seen in the last two years. I am five classes from graduation of my Bachelors in business administration concentration in healthcare management so why now? Currently 48 thousand dollars in debt to continue my education and now they want more. This is wrong, so wrong I will be paying this out of my pocket in the first place from loans that I obtained to continue my education and now they want me to pay even more out of pocket at the end of my course. I refuse to give into their gouging and therefore plan to discontinue at this school. I feel they should be re-evaluated on their ethics as well as their so-called method in teaching. They saw stipend and wanted to ensure that they receive every cent they can lay their hands on. Are all online schools this ruthless and money mongrels? Please help make sense of this is there something we can do to protect students who go blindly and trustingly into their clutches.
Stronger and stricter regulations for online learning, make it harder for them to receive federal funding, ensure higher standards. Stop higher education gouging they are preditors in all sense of the word. Stop their practice of waiting until you are almost finished with your course, raising your tuition because they know that you are that close to graduation.
What does your future hold, where do you want to go in life and how much are you able to spend to get there? Should younger students start out in so much debt that the pressures eat away their enthusiasm? STOP Tuition Increases now before only the rich can afford to obtain a higher education.Create greater control over who can start an online university and set stricter regulations and laws.
