Petition to get John O'Hagan to put up lecture slides on Blackboard for Economy of Ireland

So asked John O'Hagan to put up lecture points a few weeks ago, so that if for whatever reason we could not get to class, we would have the bullet points and the book to use. Got this response - 
  I will consider putting the slides with bullet points at the dedicated web site for the course in Reading Week

 Fine and dandy until his email back to me this week of - 

... with regard to not putting the lecture headers on the web site, for  reasons stated there and because the other 325+ students have followed the course on this basis without question. 
 
So is it really just me, or would other people appreciate him making the effort to put his slides online?
