Please close the school until things return to normal. There’s no gas wherever we go, LIRR service is suspended, new power outages, people are without homes, and we are supposed to attend class just to risk our lives wasting the little gas that we have that can be used in a real emergency, CLOSE THE SCHOOL so we don’t continue to suffer academically because of these absences. We need you to understand we care about our education, and we are dealing with circumstances out of our control. President Obama declared Long Island to be in state of emergency! And we are. Please close it until everything is back to normal. It’s not fair to our teachers or us.
