The parents of the El Toro Boy's Lacrosse high school booster group launched a petition on this site asking for the reinstatement of a coach. This booster group fabricated excuses for what they claim is an injustice. The Core Complaint of this group is that because one parent complained the school and district found out that the coach was violating rules and was forced to resign. Hard to fathom but true, the group reasons that if the parent had not complained, the new principal and the District would not have been made aware of any violations committed by the coach. How is that for honesty and integrity? I do not have the actual reason for his dismissal, nor should anyone assume, however, I personally view the petition as very inflammatory against a school employee and his dismissal when the irresponsible booster parents intentionally misinform others for the purpose of signing a petition. Further, the idea that an Orange County Public School District would render such a decision BECAUSE one parent complained exhibits little to no respect for the competence of the District, they’re supposed to represent.
The “complaint” the group refers was actually a question originally posed to the group, but no response was the norm. The question: ”why was the lacrosse gear sold and promoted by the booster group and sold to parents and players was priced much higher than the exact same gear shown on the store's website?. Did I fail to mention the coach manages the store where the merchandise is ordered? I have personally reviewed the group's ASB account and if anything was amiss most of the parents (officials) would be aware.
