Upper primary school students in Singapore are taking their first major examination, PSLE, at the end of Primary Six. The results of PSLE can potentially affect their future. Yet Social Networking Sites (SNS) distract students from studying for PSLE. Not only that, excess usage of SNS may also cause several other negative impacts. In the short run, SNS may cause fall in grades, deteriorating relationship with friends and increase risk of developing anti-social behaviours. In the long run, SNS may cause students to have poor career prospects and slow down our country's economic growth. Therefore we hope to garner support from you guys to petition for MCYS to aid us in solving this problem.
